Tom: Hi, Kevin, this is Tom. Can you talk right now?

Kevin: Sure, Tom. How can I help you?

Tom: Well, I had an accident, and now my bike is a bit of a mess. Can you come over and help me repair it?

Kevin: I'm sorry, I can't. I'm going on a trip with my parents and will be gone all weekend. But I can borrow you my tools.

Tom: Oh, that would be great! I'll come over and get them.

Kevin: I'll leave them by the gate.

Tom: Thanks so much! And have a nice trip!

Sara: Hello, is that Ron?

Ron: Speaking.

Sara: Oh, hi, Ron. This is Sara. How are things?

Ron: Great! And you?

Sara: Great! Listen, I need to prepare a presentation for tomorrow. I have to do a lot of research on the Internet. Can I borrow your laptop?

Ron: I wish! It fell out of my bag last weekend and is still being repaired.

Sara: Oh, that's too bad.

Ron: But, hey! My mum is letting me use her laptop. You can come over and use it if you want.

Sara: That sounds great! I'll be right over!

Becky: Good. Say, I need to go to the shops tomorrow. Can you go with me?

Katie: Well, that sounds like a nice idea, but…

Becky: I was really hoping you could show me that cool new clothing store.

Katie: The thing is, I can't.

Becky: Oh?

Katie: Yeah, I spent too much money last time, and now Mum won't let me go out.

Becky: Oh, that's terrible!

Katie: Sorry. Maybe next time?
