emergency is?
Lana: Somebody is hurt.
Jagraj: A big problem.
Ms. Marquez: Right. An emergency is a big, important, serious problem. Is a headache an emergency?
Class: No.
Ms. Marquez: No, it isn't. An emergency is something really important. What number do you call when there's
an emergency?
Class: 911.
Ms. Marquez: Good. If you need the police, the fire department, or an ambulance you call 911. Now let's
watch and listen.

Michael: I hurt my back. I can't stand up.
Bob: This is an emergency. I'm calling 911.

Bob: There was an accident at work. My friend hurt his back, and he can't get up.

Woman on Phone: And what's your name?
Bob: My name is Bob. Bob Parnell.
